DMD are proud to have successfully grown their business in an organic and sustainable manner. They are renowned for the reliability and quality of their UK installations offering consultation, service, quality, traceability and continuity at all stages of every project. Kestrel’s high environmental credentials made it the natural choice for DMD to join forces with to recycle all their post installation PVC-U & PVC waste to ensure it is pulverised and recycled back into production of new PVC-U products. Environmental impact is much more than just a matter of conscience in today’s building industry and customers like DMD can rest assured that they are buying from a responsible manufacture.
Kestrel was the first manufacture in our industry to sign a partnering agreement with Recovinyl showing its commitment to recycling post-consumer PVC-U & PVC waste. As a responsible manufacture, Kestrel adheres to strict ISO 14001 environmental standards and recycles 100% of its production waste. Furthermore, it applies the same level of commitment to post-consumer waste in all its forms. This includes recycling the small proportion of product that is ordered incorrectly or damaged in transport on its way to site and the off cuts from an installation (i.e., Short Life A Grade post-consumer waste), as well as the product taken off a property when for example the roofline is being replaced (i.e., Long Life, B Grade, post-consumer waste) at the end of that products life cycle. It is very rare and only under unusual circumstances that any materials are sent to landfill. It is for this reasons that we have partnered with DMD to recycle 100% of their PVC-U & PVC post-consumer and post-installation waste.
PVC is 100% recyclable. Post-Consumer recycling of PVC roofline and cladding systems is very simple. Obviously, all non-PVC components such as stainless-steel nails and screws need to be removed then all roofline boards can then be ground and pulverised ready to be re-used. This is the same way that production waste is recycled. Being the first Recovinyl partner in our industry, we have shown over the last decade that we continue to demonstrate our commitment to recycling all PVC-U & PVC waste products including post-consumer waste, thus are pleased to support our recycling partnership agreement with DMD.
We are pleased to announce that DMD has recently joined Checkatrade. Where reputation matters.
We have a responsibility and a unique opportunity to be a force for good. We have recently invested heavily into our own recycling centre with our aim to considerably reduce landfill waste. All of our customers can rest assured that we will also continue to work with our suppliers to drive progress towards our responsible sourcing goals.
